First thing I'd do is determine what species your azaleas (Rhododendrons) are
and be sure they are hardy for your zone. Then when no more freezing weather
is expected, plant them outside where you want them to be permanently. Of
course, if they are hardy, they are going to be in freezing weather next
winter, but they will go into it naturally then and not be plunged into cold
after being forced. Hope you, and they, succeed.
