Hi; I had a vole attack a few summers ago, and the only plants troubled
were Shasta daisies (entire patches disappeared, root, stem, and leaf).
That winter, a Hosta 'Kabitan' disappeared. Plants that were left alone (I
mention those close to the daisies and the Kabitan, on the presumption that
the voles would have known they were there, and rejected them, whereas
plants living apart from the eaten ones might not have been noticed by the
voles, so there would be no way of knowing whether they would have been
targeted): Lathyrus sp. (perennial sweet pea), daffodils, Fritillaria spp.
(Crown Imperial and Guinea Hen Flower), Trandescantia, various hosta
cultivars, Zinneas, Centaurea montana, Dicentra spectabilis, privet hedge,
Ornithogalum sp. (Star of Bethlehem), Rudbeckia 'Goldsturm Strain', liriope
cultivars, Myosotes sylvatica, Easter and Madonna lilies, unidentified
daylilies (cultivars).
