[SHADEGARDENS] The Garden Book Club

     Hi All:

        It seems to me that when I initially joined the Garden Book Club
     (The Newbridge Book Club), I was required to purchase three books
     within two years. After purchasing many books, I finally quit the
     club (although it's really a simple thing, I forget all about re-
     turning the cards that seem to come every other week).

        They lured me back in last year with an offer of the "A-Z Encylclo-
     pedia of Garden Plants" for $4.95.  Under that agreement, I only had
     to purchase one book in twelve months.

        In other words, there may be differing requirements dependent upon
     to which offer you are responding.
