Marge, have you had any experience with growing daylilies in the vinca?
I've had vinca as a ground cover in one bed now for about 2 years, and no
problems with either the vinca or daylilies. I'm wondering what the
long-term outlook may be for the daylilies. Any thoughts here? Also, in
another daylily bed I've placed a very fast spreading sedum carpet. This
is new (one season)....so far no problem, and that emerald green sedum
lends a lush texture (and moisture-preserving cover) year round that I
absolutely love. I hope your advice will be encouraging! Do you foresee a
problem in crowding/smothering the daylilies? As the sedum "hugs" the
plants, I've simply cleared around the crown for breathing room...is this
necessary?
