[SG] RE - ORNAMENTAL GRASS

Hi Vicky
If tou are looking for a tall grass, try to find yourself Miscanthus
Malepartus, cant go wrong there, the plant it self gets about 5 feet tall
with about a 2 foot seperration between the foliage and plume. The plume
is very large and deep red in color, however,as with most of the
Miscanthus variety after the sun is on them for a few weeks the plume
will become silver in color and buff by winter.
M.Malepartus has great fall colors of burnt orange to deep red, very
hardy and a good strong grower.
If you are looking for Pennisetum (Fountain Grass) I woudnt be afraid to
try
P.Cassian,P.Hameln or even the species
P.Alopecuroides
If you want Panicum (Switch Grass) look for Heavy Metal (Blue Switch
Grass) or
Rotstrahlbusch (Red Switch Grass)
