Cheers Ginny, I love Arkell and have three volumes, is there more? Oviously
you come from a long line of good gardeners.
Her also wrote a novel that touches the gardener's heart, "Old Herbaceous".
There is funny and informative poem on the marriage of aphids which is
answered by another poet with corrections on the biology. Two poets
communicating via verse. I'll type that in if anyone is interested.
All of these books are out of print but can be found on internet booksearch
sites.
Arkell is worth a look.
This is not really off topic as the poems address the hands on gardener's woes
and pleasures. That is one of the things all types of gardeners can
appreciate.
