Rosemary, it hasn't been too many years since you and many others on the
Gardens list were extolling the beauty and utility of the Silver Lace vine.
You whetted my appetite, and I bought one to grow over half of my garden
arch. Hah! It went way over the top, so in spring, I cut it back nearly
to the ground. This winter it pulled my substantially staked arch to the
ground. It's a contender, with trumpet vine for the western kudzu award.
