My cats often bring moles back from their hunts.
The moles are often still quite alive.
The healthy respect shown by the cats towards the moles
is evidence of what ferocious little creatures the moles are.
I have seen them lunge at the cat
and observed the cat deftly stay out of the way.
I assume a mole's appetite is as fierce as its courage.
