OK, so I'm not crazy. One year I looked out the window to see a male
cardinal methodically clipping the buds off a patch of crocus in the lawn
and just leaving the flowers lay there. I was too astonished to do
anything but stare. I wish something would do that to my scilla. More on
that in the future......
