Re: rust-orangey powder


hi.Don't know if it is rust but have had some similar stuff on my
hollyhocks. yes I know they are not shade plants but IF it is rust it
should respond to the same treatment I used which is aulphur powder
(oops my birthplace is given away. I the good old USA it is spelt
sulfur!!) which is not toxic. make up a past  if you us the powder with
a little dish detergent and then dilute with water and treat both top
and bottom!!!  Another trick is to use about 6 or so teabags to make a
strong tea and treat with that. Good luck. I wish I had so many jacks!!
I know i would want to protect them!!
