Re: QUESTION <-> sprouting seed [Tricyrtis (Toad Lily) & Arisaema]
Hello William,
I see where Marge has give you information on Arisaema germination. Will add
one note I do not remember seeing. If your arisaema seeds do not germinate in the
next six weeks or so, just leave the pots outside in a cold frame to winter over
and watch for germination late next spring.
Tricyrtis are warm, cold, warm germinators. You can play around with the
fridge ( warm moist first, then into the fridge for 6 weeks at cool, back out for
more warm moist) or simply set them outside in the cold frame late this summer and
let them ride with the weather. should germinate next spring. One tip... they like
to be treated like primula seeds... moisture for germination.... place a dome over
the tray to keep them consistently moist. you will get much better germination.
