I don't think weevils are stripping your leaves. Look for caterpillars.
Maybe army worms, residing in the soil during daylight, back underground
during daylight.Do a little digging and see if they're there. They should
be about the diameter of a pencil, grey with stripes of other nondescript
colors, and when exposed they curl into a C position. Margaret L
