Hank,
Pinellia are very closely related to Arisaema and need the same
growing conditions - preferably nice organic woodland type soil in
light to medium shade, although a saved post from Jim Waddick in
Kansas says he grows his in sun but they like their feet in shade
with soil that remains moist. He says this species grows better in
sun than shade, but mine seem quite happy in a fair amount of shade.
I find them late to emerge in spring compared with a lot of plants
and Arisaema.
Will get something around 18" tall foliage-wise and the spathe can
get about 2' or so tall, taller if very happy. Will seed around with
a fair amount of abandon once it gets going...easy to remove if not
wanted.
Neat plants IMO.

I received what I believe is a pinellia pedastisecta as a gift. I
have run the name through a number of search engines and gone through
reference books but I can't find much information on how to grow it.
Any help would be appreciated.
