Karen,
Someone mentioned using aluminum flashing awhile back to keep invasive plants
inside a barrier (like for bamboo). I have had three plants of bamboo
growing inside three different enclosures of a 12" deep aluminum flashing.
The bamboo seems okay and the plants around it seem okay. The problem that I
have with it is it is unsightly. If you bury it below or close to below
ground level, invasive plants will just climb over. If you have it out of
the ground, it looks ugly. Anyway, I am thinking of ripping mine up and just
planting the bamboo in some pots. Hope this helps.
