Wonder if anyone can help me with this. Last summer our community garden
received a grapefruit-spoonful (literally) of a plant that I assumed was
some kind of corydalis because of the leaves. I placed it with some soil in
a crevice of a boulder in the shade, and it grew and looked healthy. The
plant is now about six inches wide. I kept expecting to see some typical
corydalis blooms but last time I looked I was shocked to find mauve flowers
about one-half to three-quarter inches wide with five petals, arrayed the
same way as hepatica flowers. I'm stymied. Does anyone know what kind of
plant this is?
TIA,
