The daffodil experts I know say that it is definitely safe to do this on
June 15. It would be taking a bit of a gamble to do it on May 31, but if
you feel lucky, go ahead and try it. I live with the foliage those two
extra weeks knowing it's really not all that long. (Wish I could cut it
down right now!)
