There is also lunaria rediva which is perennial. The seed forms similarly but
has an oval shape with a pointed tip. The plant is large and vigorous. It is
hardy here in zone 4. Lunaria rediva, being perennial, blooms one month later
than annua. I have lunaria annua self-seeding in semi-shady areas, it too, is
a very hardy biennial.
