Hi Beth, This is one I'm gonna have to get, loving Manhattans the way I
do. THE HOSTA FINDER says the average price is $19.14 and lists prices of
from $10 (Brill's) to Miller's Perennial ($35) so there is quite a bit
of variation! May I ask which nursery sent you this freebie plant?

The old Wade catalog (the new Wade catalog has not come yet; if anybody
has gotten theirs I hope they will post SG and let us know) reports that
it is a small hosta, and has a red bloom scape and green leaves. They were
still holding for evaluation. It is not registered; Mark Zilis was the
developer.

Re Lysimachias, I don't know one that is not a takeover artist. I wish you
could see my gooseneck loosestrife heading north to take over the world.
When all those little white gooseneck blossoms are in bloom, though, all
facing the same way, it is the CUTEST THING! Green moneywort is another
takeover artist. Gold moneywort is a LITTLE better behaved... I'm afraid
to try any other species of Lysimachia. But you have to love it!
