Deb, frankly I am unable to think of much that wouldn't do
better in raised beds.  Maybe some bog plants would like to just
be plunked into that soil.  My veggies are in constructed beds
(wood) and my other gardens are all raised by virtue of deep
digging and *lots* of amendments.  I don't think you can err
with raising the beds.  Best of luck,
