I too am a relative newcomer to shadegardens and have found it a
wonderful source of invaluable information. Sherryl and I met via the
great net site called E-bay        and we began to chat. She offered,
most generously, to enlist me and I cannot thank her enough...THANKS,
SHERRYL!!!....

As for your lovely dream garden, I would rec spiderwort. A hardy
perrenial, it thrives in woodland settings and has recently been
developed in new colors although, the deep blue IS  irresistable.  Also,
some Virginia bluebells would go nicely with those lily of the valley.
Check Springhill Nurseries in Tipp City, Ohio. I'm sure they have a web
site...
