HI DONNA,
Your plant also may be known in some circles at Monkey Flower. It prefers
partial shade (morning sun OK) but not deep shade. Moist but not sloppy-wet
conditions preferred. I use it in a semi-shade area, along with impatiens,
to provide season-long color.
