Clyde;
    Are you ever ask if you were related to Jim Crockett of PBS  "Victory Garden" fame?
    The Adenophora confusa is as I'm sure you know, a native of Japan. Growing in grassy places in lowlands and mountains, and on the edges  of woods, flowering in July-October. For moist peaty soil, in sun or partial shade. Hardy to -20*
    There is also a Adenophora triphylla var. japonica {Regal}  Campanjulacae
