Hi Clyde,
I have not tried the Lily in my garden as yet. All I know is it needs deep
humus rich soil with mulch in part to full shade. It is listed as hardy
into zone 6. If you have fallen in love with it you may want to try a
micro-environment for the bulb and see what happens. I will have seeds of
the giant form on my web site by next week. I received a good shipment of
seeds from a bulb specialist in New Zealand this week in trade that is more
than I can handle for the nursery. Feeling adventuresome?
