Just imagine a tre lined street---the trees being magnificent specimens of
Ulmus americana. Every front yard, but one, has a beautifully manicured lawn.
On each side , spectacular Hicks yews.
Buxus as foundation plantings. Those with front terraces, HUGE plantations
of cannas.
Then, that one garden has a sloping front lawn to the foot path. There is
planted some sort of euonymous, full of weeds by July. An island bed with 30
different annuals, biennials and perennials. Cacophony comes to the block.
Sides of front lawns filled with hemerocallises.
