That's my house.. everyone else on the street has lawn and trees
(OK around the corner there are a few houses with some lovely
islands of color...) Then you come to my place, I have four raised
beds in the front yard, flowers mixed in with the hostas along the
front of the house as well as a perrenial garden under my bedroom
window and a flowering hedge row. And yes, it's a cacaphony of
color, shape and form. Lots of annuals tucked in here and there.
Some statuary and a fountain.
Guess who's house cars slow in front of, or which people stop and
get out and tell me what a lovely garden it is, or which the folks
from the retirement home stop in front of on their stroll? Those
other houses even if immaculate, provide a boring, uninviting vista.
So while one may stick up their nose at my cacaphony of scents
and colors in the front yard.. it would be a shame because they
would miss the butterflies, hummingbirds and flowers and run a real
risk of falling into the front ditch...
hehe :)
