Hi Claire,
Where HAVE you found it? Also what is the annual that is called Million
Bells (or something like that). It looks like little petunia flowers to me.
I bought one hanging basket of it and accidently broke off some of the
branches. I stuck them in water over a week ago and they still look as nice
now as they did then. For there longevitiy as a cut flower, I'd buy more of
them.
Btw, thanks again for the poppy seeds you sent last spring. I now have a
"million" little seedlings around...such a pretty bluish color. How do you
manage so many seedlings? Do you just pull out most of them and leave a few?
Also, I never did get any Nicotiana sylvestris to come up from the seed you
sent. So maybe I didn't know what the seedling looked like and I pulled them
out?? (for shame).
Anyway, I found a little nursery here that was selling plants of
them..started on a whim from seed the lady bought, called 'Only the Lonely'.
Have you heard of this cultivar? I'm hoping I'll get seed from it. Well,
now that I'm reading the tag, it does not say it's sylvestris. The tag says
"Only the Lonely Nicotiana. fragrant drooping white flowers are outstanding!
Good background plant. HOW TO GROW: Plant in sun or part sun 2-3' apart.
Grows 4-5' tall." Do you think it's sylvestris? The tiny picture on the tag
is too small to make out.
Thanks,
