Some Companions for Hostas

I am enthralled by the carexes, particularly C. muskingumensis and C.
siderosticha 'Variegata'. The Galax urceolata is fabulous--must have acidic
soil, however.
If you have open shade, try some of the wonderful alliums.
Acanthuses are a must. I was lucky this year as my A. hungaricus survived our
harsh z5 winter.
I grow all the non-invasive lysimachias ---to an advantage. You will like
them, particularly with blue hostas.
The omphalodeses are a must, particularly the species cappadocica, and its
variety 'Starry Eyes'.
What are some of you, rather unusual(not well-known) companions?
