I find it is very easy to pull up---roots and all. It does have a tendency to
spread--particluarly in lawns, but I like that "wild" look.
I find that is does not 'smother' other plants as does Gooseneck Loosestrife
and L. punctata.

\Perhaps mine is not as aggressive as yours as mine is grown in shady
environments. Indeed, I have to add more each year---maybe it does not
prosper in wet soil.
