Re: [SG] slightly obscure plants

OK, John, Kemberly and other salvia addicts...Please get
yourself a copy of "A Book of Salvias" by Betsy Clebsch (Timber Press,
1997). She has a handy Color Designations listing in the back which lists
a few yellow-flowering salvias. Included are S. africana-lutea, S.
austriaca, S. x jamensis "Sierra San Antonio", S. nubicola, S. madrensis
and S. roborowskii. She also includes listings for many salvia sources.
Although the origins and cultural needs are varied, there certainly must
be a yellow salvia to suit you, John.
                                                Cheers--
                                                Claudia in Davenport, Calif.
