I used to grow a lot of monardas but got sick of the mildewing---which I was
too lazy to remedy. They grew for me where hostas thrive---in a site with
morning sun and late afternoon sun in the summer.
John,
I have not had one hummingbird to come to my feeder.Where should it be put? I
have even tied red ribbons all around it! I have been told that one should
not put red food coloring in the sugar water.
I was out one evening when we had monarda and the plant was alive with
hummingbirds. Gee! I am out to get some monardas right now!!!
