Clyde,
An added note on the feeders: hummingbirds are very protective of their
feeders, so it is best to place several throughout the yard to give them all
a chance, rather than only one. I have watched as the dominate hummer waits
in a tree for another one to come to the feeder. He will then "dive bomb"
the unlucky tresspasser and knock him off this feeder, and will not allow him
to return. Placing several feeders around the yard will help you attract
more hummers (although it is fun to watch this little routine!).
