Hello Laura,
I have several P. veris and cultivars scattered throughout the garden. Both in
so-so soil... read hard clay, but raised and drains well, to the good stuff. Have
had them for some time and they perform well for me. All I do is mulch around them
each fall with chopped leaves. Most plants respond better in a decent environment.
