Hi, my name is Lynn, from zone 5 Indiana, near Chicago. I haven't been on
the list too long,but it's been interesting.

Ortho sells a product called Weed-B-Gon in different formulations.  There is
one labelled for hard-to-kill weeds.  The purple banner under the name says
it's for chickweed, clover, and oxalis. Other weeds are listed on the label,
including creeping charlie, violets and onions.  I don't see pokeweed on
there, but it's worth a try. I agree that it's important to use when weeds
are actively growing, but sometimes I wonder if creeping charlie is ever
*not* actively growing :+) I tried this product in early fall, but an Ortho
rep told me I might not see any effect for a while.  The jury is out til
spring. Lynn
