Gads I'm agreeing with two men. My birdbath has been out three winters, no
problem. It is 30" wide and shallow. Physics is not the only consideration.
Not all concrete is created equal, but my cement lady is real good. She
recommends several coats of Thompson's waterseal. I did not want to put it in
the bird's stuff though. The cats jump up and drink from it too. I prefer the
weathered look in all my concrete urns so I have never sealed anything.
