I have managed to keep this alive for a year or two at a time outside. It
eventually peters out, and never seems to thrive. I am right at the top
edge of zone 6. Of course, if it does not like dry conditions, that could
be part of the trouble. I had it in dry shade in a spot where it rarely
got any supplemental water.
