New Journal

Sheila Smith's recollections are identical with mine: the SG listserv was
1to be a division of the Shadegardens Society. The journal when launched
would be another division. I share her hope that we may continue to be
informed on line about the progress of both the journal and the society as
a whole. For those who do not share this hope, the subject line of
pertinent e-mails might be altered (perhaps [SG-J]) as a signal to them
that they need not read the message. Efforts at this early stage need
maximum publicity to attract more interest and more volunteers, if the
major domos have no objection.

There are some experienced and talented people on board who have already
volunteered, and I'm sure there are many more out there whose skills can
be tapped. Some of you may not know that Clyde for some years edited THE
HOSTA JOURNAL, so he is well equipped with the knowledge and experience
that are needed.
