Good morning Gerry
I also did this for a couple of years, I would buy hefty bags by the
box full and go around town bagging leaves. I would bring them home and
put them in a bin I made out of 4' x 8' lattice. Then I would wait a
couple of years for them to decompose. Next I found it was cheaper to
buy large garbage cans and use them to bring the leaves home in. After
it had decomposed there wasn't really that much left.
I finally realized it was alot easier at least around here just to buy
a load of cow manure that had been around a couple of years and spread
it on everything. Now I buy about a half a dozen loads a year. Funny
when I was a kid on the farm we would have gladly given it away but no
one does now.
