I grew up in New England where farmers build rock walls around their property
with rocks {not pebbles} they have cleared from the fields every spring --
when I was young my dad used to tell me that rocks grow over the winter and
come up in the spring __ wasn't till college when I learned about how the
frozen ground cause rocks to be pushed up when the ground thaws.........
