Greetings from flatland Champaign, IL, USA, . . .
Collected rocks have also been gathered into my
garden. Over the decades, I have come to think that
rocks are a fair representation of people. On display
are 3 totally different rocks--different parent
material, different colors, and different history.
But, they are all one; They came from the same place
(earth), and all will end up in the same place
(ocean). Some of them i view as beautiful, but that
is not the rock's fault or credit. The rock is
neither a better nor worse rock despite its being
viewed by me as more or less beautiful. At this
point, I think my most beautiful rock is the geode
that has yet to be cracked open. I see the outside as
a little rough, and "ugly", but KNOW that the inside
is a delite of complex light-bursting crystals. Not
having yet seen the inside crystals only makes them
more perfectly perfect.
Only God can count the apples in an appleseed. Enjoy
rocks and enjoy those "ugly" geode people we each
meet. Given time, we grow prettier every year.
