These are the only ferns I grow that volunteer readily. I started with one
plant and after about 4-5 years have almost a dozen. They keep popping up
in moist, shady, out of the way places--one of their favorites spots seems
to be between some flagstones, and another is beneath large hostas. They
transplant easily and are quite a joy. And, yes, they are all a little
different, both in markings and in the size the fronds reach. FWIW,
