Susan,

Assuming you are suburban and do not want random piles, you could push it all
off in one spot and surround it with a stockade corral around four feet high.
 Fashion a gate and wheel it out when you need some.  We drive it behind the
barn and dump it in one pile, with other ppiled collections,  where is
remains until needed.  All gardens need supplies at a reasonable distance
from the place where the work takes place.  You could also use a trailer on a
tractor mower should you have a tractor mower.
