impossible to sanitize billions of letter-mails moving about in North
American mails in any given day, paticularly at this time of the year, when
volumes begin to go through the roof?

BTW ..just so you know this, all mailed parcels coming into Canada at
airports, are held in quarantine (probably looked at too?) but I have not
heard a word about sanitizing them via radiation? We've had quite a few
evacuations in Canada, due to suspicious white powders being on mails;
inside street letter box collection points, found in Gov't Offices, inside
Toronto Customs-inspection Headquarters; and so on and so forth, but there
has not been one case of anthrax detected in our country yet.
      Meanwhile, all Canadian postal workers, are offered rubber surgical
gloves and masks to wear, if they feel uncomfortable in our mail moving
environment; and with, the threat of anthrax-poisoning hanging over
everyone's head.
       ..I personally, handle incoming priority committed mails, coming
from every country in the world; and for some unknown reason, my hands move
in real slow motion, when I see a postmark from Iran, Iraq and so on?
<<dunno why tho'>> BTW ...no mails are leaving Canada to go to; or coming
from: AFGANISTAN

just relax Narda; and did I tell you the one about? <= awe forget it!
