Having finally gotten all of the bulbs in the ground for the season,
which was no small achievement (700 species crocus, 300 mini-daffs, 150
species tulips, 50 daffs, 50 gregii tulips, 12 lilies), we stopped at the
garden center looking for fruit fly traps (any ideas?) and discovered all of
the remaining shrubs were fifty percent off!
Even though we are exhausted and have already had a first hard frost
killing the annuals, I couldn't resist a large potted Kalmia Olympic Fire
and a Forever Pink Hydrangea. Please tell me it isn't too late to plant
them and have them survive the winter!!!!
