Berries ... in the shade?

Ok, I got this length of fence to cover see -- it's about 30 feet of nasty,
ugly, chain-link fencing. And I was thinking -- wouldn't it be cool to
plant a vine or even a shrub that gets lots of berries, maybe some flowers,
to attract wildlife and give the birdies something to eat (thereby lowering
the amount we spend each month on birdseed for the feeders!).

Just one catch -- it's under the shade of a coupla big ole maple trees AND
the fence is against a wall that faces southeast AND the yard is fairly well
enclosed (see http://garden.infobin.org for some pics of the front of the
house).

Naturally, my preference is to grow from seed -- money's tight, so I'm in a
best bang for the buck mood. :) I don't really mind what we plant taking
over the area as it borders the lawn, so invasiveness is no big deal. I'd
really prefer a vine though.

Any suggestions?

James
