My wildflower expert, Bob Henn of Ohio, says what Sally describes sounds
very much like Sessile Trillium. He wondered if False Trillium was a local
name for the plant. The Sessile Trillium flower is a brownish red or
maroon, not really a brown, but could this be it, Sally?
