Preston,
I think that must be the warming influence of the ocean. I've left them in
the ground and ended up with mush. Think you're in the warmer part of z.7
and I'm in the colder part. I know they can be left in the ground in
northern Alabama as my Mom does it all the time and that's the warmer part
of z.7. What a difference a few degrees of frost makes!
