Hi,
Animals and people have differing systems. You can not use watching an
animal such as your cat to judge whether you should eat something or not.
Birds love Poisson Ivy berries, but I would not eat one. Rabbits love my
Digitalis and they are already hyper, but I sure do not nibble on my
plants.
One does need to be careful. We do grow and eat parts of plants that are
poisonous. Remember Polk? Ever eat a rhubarb pie? Most of us eat mushrooms
or fungi of some type, but pick the wrong one and it can kill you.
There are many web site that go into poisonous plants in detail. perhaps
someone with more nimble fingers than I will show up with their research on
the subject and recommend the addresses.
