Hosta Question!

We had a a wind warning issued here on the Canadian Prairies yesterday and
wind gusts were recorded between 80 and 100 kph most of the day. While
surveying the damage today I discovered that the scape (???) which holds
the seed pods I've been watching for weeks on hosta CANDY HEARTS has been
bent in half. The pods are still green and the seed immature. Is there
any way to salvage these seeds? Would it help to stake the stalk above and
below the bend?

Any ideas???
