Hi. This is not totally a shade garden question. But a necessary question all
the same!!
Is it to late in zone 8 to give everything a last bolt of fertilizer? It has
been a long hot summer here and all my shrubs, roses, and even the trees are
drooping!
My trees started dropping leaves about a month ago. My shrubs are Red Tips,
Gardenias, Euonymus, Bottlebrush, Camellia etc.
I even have lost some Boxwood, which is suppose to be very hardy! Although
this is my least favorite evergreen. I was very surprised it did not hold up
well in
high temps!
I'm watering twice a day and every plant still is wilting:( We are still on a
water ban! One of these days, I'm going to get caught.
I don't expect new growth, I just hope, or think fertilizer will help all the
plants to make it through whatever winter has to offer. Or am I dreaming?
