Re: [SG] Water garden in the shade


Hi Josh,

Thanks for your recommendations. I will see if I can find some of
these plants at our local nursery. When would be a good time to put
them in? Our winters are fairly mild. It rarely dips below 35F even at
night. Would they survive if I get them now, or should I wait until
next spring?

As for surrounding the pond with ferns, well, that is where my tree
fern is now which I may have killed by not giving it enough water.
It's just an ugly trunk right now because I cut off all the dead brown
fronds. If it doesn't improve by next season, I may very well get rid
of it and replace it with hostas.
